Seedy Sunday Seeds 2021

[Applications for Seedpacks are now closed.]

Local to Brighton and Hove?

We are sorry to say that we’ve had to cancel Seedy Sunday this year, due to the COVID-19 restrictions. It’s a really sad time for us all. But we want to support you with your growing!

Together with our wonderful sponsors Infinity Foods, we’ve worked out a process where we can still get seeds swapped and out to those who need them. Due to COVID restrictions on travel, this is for people who are local to the Brighton and Hove area.

Keep saving and donating seeds if you can.

There will be a box at Infinity Foods for you to donate your saved seeds in their envelopes. These will be redistributed to community groups or saved until next year.

Seedy Sunday seeds will be available at Infinity Foods shop if you register.

If you’ve already donated seeds into one of our boxes, or if you’d normally come to Seedy Sunday and buy seeds, we want you to get some seeds. We are putting together ‘variety packs’ of ten packets of seeds. We’ll do our best to put together a collection of vegetables, herbs and flowers you might grow in your garden or on the allotment, but it’ll be a bit of a lucky dip! If you are local to Brighton and Hove, and can come to Infinity Foods shop to collect your variety pack, let us know and we’ll add your name to the list. We have limited this list to the first 300 applicants – first come first served.

Please note that you should only apply for seeds if you are able to pick up the seeds from the Infinity shop in Brighton, England. At the time of collection you or the person collecting the seeds on your behalf must be able to comply with any relevant Covid 19 legislation which is in place.

If you want to collect a packet of ten seeds, please complete this form by January 29th. For data protection and privacy purposes, your data will be retained solely for the purposes of managing the seed application unless you consent for your details to be added or remain on our email distribution list.

What to do next

If you are in the first 300, we will email you to let you know. Then, from Monday February 8th to Sunday 28th, you can go to Infinity Foods shop (25 North Rd, Brighton, BN1 1YA). Please see infinityfoodsretail.coop for more information). Give them your name to tick off their list, and you’ll get your variety pack. You may want to buy some organic seed potatoes while you’re there!

Community growing groups are considered separately

If you run a community group that usually has a stall at Seedy Sunday and is on our mailing list, you will be hearing from us, as we’d like to give you a larger amount of seeds. If you’re not on our list, get in touch through info@seedysunday.org

It’s free but please donate

We want to make this as accessible as possible, so we are not asking for payment. We are so grateful to Infinity Foods for their sponsorship, which has enabled us to buy the seeds, and helping us distribute them.

If you are able to make a donation, even the £5 you’d normally pay for a pack of 10 seeds, it will help us keep running in future years. Please donate through PayPal:
