Celebrate our 20th Anniversary

Seedy Sunday is a month away!

On the 6th February we celebrate our 20th Anniversary!

NEW VENUE! Brighton Open Market, Marshalls Row, Brighton, BN1 4JU
9 am to 3 pm
Free Entry – donations welcome

The Seed Swap For 20 years the seed swap table has been the heart of a big event which included stalls, speakers and children’s activities. In 2022 we are doing things a little differently, with a new venue and a simple focus on seeds, plants and community. This will help us stay COVID-safe. We’re grateful to over 50 volunteers for helping us to make this happen, including our trusty organising committee!

Seed saving experts and gardeners will be on hand to offer all the advice you need to choose and grow your seeds. You can collect Seedy Sunday envelopes from Infinity Foods in Brighton.

No seeds to swap? Simply make a 50p donation at the seed table.

We have already prepared over 2,000 packets of seeds to get us started on the day!

Guest stalls

The Open Market has space for a few local, community-led guests, including our wonderful sponsors Infinity Foods Coop selling their seed potatoes, the Brighton and Hove Organic Gardening Group to inspire you with their expertise and Brighton Permaculture Trust.

Food and Drink

We’re delighted the Real Junk Food Project will be joining us again, with their delicious meals from produce that would otherwise go to waste. Tea and coffee will also be available, and a lot of the regular Open Market units will be open and trading.

Stay in touch

Keep an eye on www.seedysunday.org for the latest updates and if you’d like to get in touch. We’d love it if you’d follow and promote the event on social media too – we’re on FacebookInstagram and @SeedySundayBton on Twitter.

Be inspired for the gardening year at Seedy Sunday!
